Bampton in 1835

Bampton, or Bampton in the Bush, a market town and parish in the county of Oxford and the hundred of Bampton. The population in 1801 was 1,003 ; in 1811, 1,232 ; in 1821, 1,460 ; and in 1831, 1,605.
